It’s been  bad month for rappers and the NBA.  The night after Lil Wayne went on his rampage about the Miami Heat, Maybach Music’s Wale went off on the Toronto Raptors for calling him a “local rapper.”

The “Lotus Flower Bomb” star got into a verbal tussle with Raptors announcer Matt Devlin during a game in his hometown of D.C..  Devlin referred to Wale as a “local” rapper after he heckled one of the Raptors players and that he was “Not Drake, that’s for sure.” Drake is from Toronto.

The rapper then approached the broadcasting booth and yelled a few words at Devlin. It’s unclear what he said. Watch video below.

But the Raptors don’t want any problems with Wale and would rather stay on his good side if possible. In fact, they told TMZ that Devlin was “making fun of himself for not knowing who Wale is, especially a Grammy-nominated artist with more than 2 million Twitter followers.”

Will Wale accept this extended Olive Branch?

Of course the moment was immortalized in Gif form. Don’t you just love the Internet?
