ABC 6/FOX 28 started tracking these “Crime Hot Spots” last week, when 7 armed robberies at 6 businesses were reported to police within days of each other. Since Monday, an additional three stores have been held up. The most recent crime happened early Friday morning at the Speedway Gas Station at 6425 East Broad Street, when a man approached the counter and implied he had a weapon while demanding cash.

That hold-up happened just six hours after the United Dairy Farmers store at 1680 N. High St. was robbed by a man who showed a weapon and then ran off with money. It’s not known if any of the robberies are connected.

Anyone with information about these crimes is encouraged to call Columbus police at 614-645-4545. SOURCE
