COLUMBUS, Ohio – A man is being charged with felonious assault for allegedly stabbing his roommate after they fought over a missing steak.

Eric A. Townsend is accused of stabbing Daniel Ucker just before midnight on Wednesday at the North Burgess Avenue apartment they share.

According to a police report, Ucker and Townsend were outside the residence, involved in a shoving match over a steak that was missing.

Ucker told Townsend that he had to leave the apartment.

Ucker told police that Townsend then went back inside to the kitchen and started to scream, “I ate your steak! I ate your steak!”

Townsend, 54, allegedly turned around with a knife and stabbed Ucker in the chest.

Ucker’s brother found Townsend holding a knife and forcibly disarmed him.

A judge set Townsend’s bond at $75,000.SOURCE
