Seeking:

 

We are looking for an enthusiastic Service Technician with at least 4 years field service experience, to provide the highest level of service and customer satisfaction while safely conducting the installation, maintenance, service, and repair of JBT FoodTech canning equipment.

 

Requirements:

 

    • Technical/Trade School desired. High School Diploma required.

 

    • Strong mechanical background with 4 years of field service experience and customer interaction.

 

    • Experience with machine assembly, installation, fabrication, welding, and tool operation.

 

    • ASME welding experience/certifications preferred.

 

    • Experience with industrial equipment safety, maintenance, and field repairs.

 

    • Electrical troubleshooting skills, control loop tuning and instrumentation calibration.

 

    • Good P.C. skills in Word, Excel, electronic mail and windows based programs.

 

    • Extensive travel domestically

Field Based Construction/Facilities Manager Opportunity at the Restaurant Support Center in Los Angeles, CA
Overall Responsibilities

Works on all new and remodel construction projects from start to finish ensuring that quality is up to CPK and industry standards while maintaining the schedule and controlling all change orders to a minimum. Conducts job walks with architects and engineers, creates the punch list and follows through to completion. Ensures maximum efficient operations of facilities and equipment, as well as the care of all grounds and support equipment. Responsible for Preventative Maintenance Programs including the review and evaluation of its cost effectiveness and performance. Resolves facilities related problems and manages corrective construction and remodels.

Job Functions
    • Ensures that Preventative Maintenance (PM) programs are established for key equipment and finishes. Negotiates and monitors PM programs for cost, service and performance. Recommends corrective action as required.
    • Checks and follows up on all Preventative maintenance (PM) programs for efficiency regarding CPK’s hot water, signage time clock settings, HVAC T-stats, Refrigeration time clock & defrost settings and lighting program.
    • Must completely know all of CPK’s preventive maintenance programs and contracts
    • Trouble shoot facilities related problems reported from the restaurant. Develop and implement corrective actions.
    • Must know how all HVAC systems work to maintain a correct test and balance at each restaurant
    • Creates subcontractor and vendor data base in their regions and have 3 options for each trade
    • Recommends and manages corrective construction at existing restaurants for cost effectiveness and lasting quality. Minimize disruption and “Down Time.”
    • Know how to lead all general contractors and vendors during walk throughs and get competitive bids and know how to read, understand and compare the bids to each other.
    • Recommends change in equipment/finish specifications to ensure that new construction basis performance of current restaurants are cost effective.
    • Acts as Project Manager for assigned projects. Provides leadership role for new construction projects and minor to major remodels including scope, budget and contract development and general contractor selection.
    • Must be able to lead all general contractors and vendors at punch walks.
    • Must be able to follow through on all projects until completely signed off.
    • Develops and communicates facilities training programs in conjunction with the Training. Department at each turn over from new Construction.
    • Keeps abreast with industry wide issues and programs. Recommends action, budget and timing.
    • Recommends approval of invoices for service work using the IQ system. Negotiates adjustments as needed.
    • Maintains cost database for facilities expenses/costs.
    • Conducts inspections of all restaurants, recommends repairs and repair budgets.
    • Works on written reports with pictures at each site visit to all restaurants and send to RVP, RP and VP of Construction/Facilities, following through until completed.
    • Oversees insurance claims; coordinates plan of action to turn over to the Loss and Prevention department.
    • Resolves and works with all landlord issues until completed.
    • Maintains a weekly excel spread sheet every Friday that is sent to the Facilities and Development Manager.
    • Maintains new Facilities help desk emails and calls on a daily and weekly basis.
    • Updates and issues regional vendor list.
    • Must be able to visit and maintain CPK’s policies for all restaurants in their respective regions.
    • Makes travel arrangements for self within company policy.
Qualifications & Skills
    • 5-7 years industry related experience
    • Working knowledge of general construction skills, building codes and mechanical, plumbing and electrical systems
    • Must know how to read blue print plans and construction documents and efficiently communicate them to all general contractors and vendors
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Excellent daily and weekly paperwork is a must
Work Environment and Physical Demand
While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently exposed to computer terminals. The noise level and temperature is moderate. The employee has the ability to sit, stand and/or walk for up to 10 hours a day. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, bend or kneel, lift up to 40 lbs. and perform other diverse physical tasks as needed. The vision requirements include: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
