This past Saturday, R&B legend Bill Withers was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame which took place in Cleveland. The “Lovely Day” soul artist was honored by long time friend, Stevie Wonder.
“This is not about me. This is about a great man who has written some incredibly great songs,” Stevie Wonder spoke out before performing ‘Ain’t No Sunshine’. “Not only did he write them, but sang them incredibly as well.” Sharing the stage and vocals to honor Bill Withers was Grammy winner, John Legend, who performed ‘Use Me’ and ‘Lean On Me’. According to Cleveland.com, the ‘Glory’ singer convinced Mr. Withers to perform his classic ‘Lovely Day’.
Later that night John Legend tweeted his thoughts on what was a memorable night for many.
