Sunday is the Community Day of Hope. This event is to help bring hope back to the community through prayer and fellowship. There will be Gospel music, free books, and free food and drinks will be provided. It will be at the Fruit of the Spirit Seventh-day Adventist Church, at 1365 Frebis Ave., Columbus, from 2-5 p.m. For more information, contact Pastor Harold Palmer at 614.554.6543.
2. Next Friday there’s a Children’s Halloween Party. Children in the East Long Street area are invited to wear their scariest costumes to visit the Haunted Basement.
