Vic Mensa

Rapper Vic Mensa was detained on Thursday when police suspected him and his friends of stealing after a $4,000 shopping spree at luxury department store Barneys.

Mensa took to Snapchat to express his anger over the apparent racial profiling. “I’m tired of dealing with these motherf***ers man,” he said as he showed the officers. “Over here just giving a ni**a trouble for all types of stupid sh*t. We didn’t steal sh*t. I go to Barneys and spend four racks and get accused of stealing.”

He continues, “That’s the craziest part about it, I went and bought some ill Saint Laurent boots, some sh*t from Barneys, and we get all pulled out the f***ing car and get accused of stealing.”

Mensa has never been afraid to speak out against police brutality and didn’t hold back here. Saying right in front of the police officers who had accused him of stealing, “You can’t be a young Black man out here doing anything legal, positive, and you still get treated like a criminal,” he said.

Interestingly, just a day before the incident, he took to Instagram to post a pic mocking Donald Trumps‘ “Make America Great Again” hat, with a slogan of his own.

SMH. Hopefully he at least got an apology.
