Remember #AirbnbWhileBlack? In 2016 Quirtina Crittenden shared her experience of trying to book a room on Airbnb.

According to NPR she would send request, but would get declined moments later. Crittenden shared her story along with the hashtag that made others on Black Twitter talk about their own experience.

However another incident has occurred while a Black person was renting an Airbnb in Amsterdam. South African filmmaker Sibahle Steve Nkumbi as well as her friends rented a place and it ended up being a terrible experience.

According to BET the ladies were running late for their 11 a.m. checkout time and it caused the landlord to be infuriated. He yelled, “out” as the ladies were packing their belongings and as Nkumbi was leaving he pushed her so hard that she lost her balance.

She ended up falling down the stairs and Nkumbi said in an interview, “The way he grabbed me, I knew he was going to throw me down there. I freaked out.”

This horrifying experience was all caught on Instagram and now the landlord is facing attempted murder charges.
