Mental illness, drug addiction, alcoholism and so many other things have led some childhood stars to go down a path of destruction.

Recently a video of actress Maia Campbell from the hit 90’s show “In The House” surfaced and left her family, fans as well as past cast members concerned for her life.

However, Maia isn’t the only one that has suffered.

You might remember Jaimee Foxworth as the youngest daughter in the 90’s sitcom “Family Matters” as ‘Judy Winslow.’ According to Huffington Post she was written out the show and at the age of 19 found herself doing porn. After leaving that industry though she struggled with drugs and alcohol. In 2008, Foxworth appeared on “Celebrity Rehab” where she received help. She is now raising her son and has full support from her family.

Who can forget the funny little brother from “Moesha?” In 2013 Marcus Paulk was arrested for allegedly kicking as well as punching his ex-girlfriend. He avoided jail time after a cutting a plea deal according to TMZ, but in 2015 more trouble came. Paulk was pulled over and arrested by Maricopa County Sheriff’s deputies for driving dangerously. He failed the sobriety test and also confessed he was smoking pot earlier that day.

The younger brother of Backstreet Boys member Nick Carter has lived a life where he abused drugs, lost money and dealt with depression. Aaron Carter entertained us with his music, dance moves and even landed an episode of “MTV Cribs.” However behind all of the glitz his life wasn’t that glamorous. According to Life and Style Magazine, Carter began using drugs and abusing alcohol. After the untimely death of his sister he went into treatment, now he is trying to restart his life with the support of family and friends behind him.

We all remember Lark Voorhies as the fashionable and fun character ‘Lisa Turtle’ on “Saved By The Bell.” While so many of her co-stars were able to land different rolls and stay in the entertainment world she found herself as an outsider. In 2016 a video of Voorhies went viral because of the drastic change people saw in her. While many believed it was drugs, she denied it. Later, People landed a story with her mother and she claimed that her daughter was suffering from bipolar disorder. While she’s busy working on Indie productions we may never know what really is happening to the beloved star.

The “That’s So Raven” star in 2014 according to People was arrested for allegedly threatening to kill a woman and her daughter. That however wasn’t the last time Orlando Brown made headlines, in 2016 he was arrested on domestic violence charges and allegedly possessing methamphetamine. Brown recently went on a rant with Vladtv about him and Raven-Symone’s relationship, but he also won’t be seen in the new “That So Raven” on the Disney channel.

Jodie Sweeten

Jodie Sweeten was known for her famous line, “How rude,” in “Full House.” She played the middle child ‘Stephanie Tanner, but after being out of a job the downfall began. Sweeten wrote in her memoir, “I probably had two bottles of wine, and I was only 14.” According to E! News she found herself in and out of 12-step programs and in rehab during her late teens. In her 20s though she also battled drug abuse. Recently, Sweeten appeared on “Dancing With the Stars” as well as “Fuller House” and has been sober enjoying life with her kids and husband.

He was a child star that we remember the most during Christmas time as we replay Home Alone.” Macaulay Culkin played an 8-year-old boy named ‘Kevin’ that was left at home by his family by mistake as they went on vacation. From there he acted in several other films such as “Uncle Buck”, “Richie Rich” and more. He later got married and divorced to his high school sweetheart and in 2012 a picture surfaced where fans could barely recognize him. Years later according to Movie Pilot he tried to form a band called The Pizza Underground. In 2016 he finally addressed rumors in The Guardian and mentioned, “No, I was not pounding six grand of heroin every month or whatever. The thing that bugged me was tabloids wrapping it all in this weird guise of concern. No, you’re trying to shift papers.”
