“Police have identified a man killed and the officers involved in an east Columbus shooting.
Police said the shooting happened on January 12 around 5:10 p.m. near the intersection of Comstock Drive and Lisbon Drive.
Columbus police said two plainclothes officers were patrolling the area looking for a suspect who was wanted for aggravated robbery.
The officers found 22-year-old Amanuel Dagebo of Columbus inside a vehicle and approached him to take him into custody.
At some point, the officers fired and struck Dagebo. He was pronounced at the scene.
A gun was recovered at the scene near Dagebo’s vehicle.
Police have identified the officers as Joseph Houseberg, and Bryan Brumfield, both 10-year veterans.”
