The Ohio senator urges the president to stop playing the blame game and help with trying to stop the plant closing.
GM announced Monday that they plan on closing the Lordstown plant near Youngstown next year. Senator Sherrod Brown is working with Democrats and Republicans to try to save the plant that employs 1,500 workers.
Brown introduced a bill in August that would credit drivers $3,500 discount if they buy American made vehicles and curtail tax breaks on profits from automakers that move jobs overseas.
“I’ll stand up for my record fighting for American workers against this president’s, any day, on any issue,” said Brown.
