Diesel, aka Dominic Toretto, appeared on Instagram stating Cena was a gift from Pablo, a name alluding to the late Paul Walker. Diesel pans his camera to a suited John Cena who does his trademark “U Can’t See Me” move and does not speak a word, instead of delivering a wink.
Cena will be the second member of the WWE family to be in the Fast & Furious franchise along with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. Cena would be the third if you want to count the upcoming Hobbs & Shaw film, which features Roman Reigns.
Fast & Furious 9 is set to release in 2020. There is currently no word on what role Cena will play, however, The Rock is said to not be included in the film.
