Before taking on D.C. United this Saturday, the Columbus Crew will stop by the White House on Friday to be recognized for their 2023 MLS Cup victory! This marks the second time The Crew has been invited to the WH, following their previous visit in 2008 after winning the championship.
Owners, Dee and Jimmy Haslam: “The Columbus Crew are honored to participate in the special American tradition of celebrating our most recent league championship with the White House. Our players and staff appreciate this unique opportunity to represent our supporters, the City of Columbus, Major League Soccer, and our sport.”
Although The Crew has won three MLS Cup titles, they were unable to visit the White House after their 2020 championship due to COVID-19 restrictions. President Biden will now host the team.
