Viral Rapper Ralan Styles Killed in Attempted Robbery Scuffle

22-year-old Michael Robinson, also known as Ralan Styles, was fatally shot early Saturday morning in Columbus’ Victorian Village neighborhood. According to witnesses, the suspect attempted to swipe Styles’ chain and shot at him multiple times which resulted in a scuffle.
Northside’s 24-year-old Mahamood Hassan was arrested and charged with murder. Despite attempts by paramedics to revive him, Styles was pronounced dead at the scene. Witnesses provided authorities with detailed descriptions of the shooter, leading to Hassan’s arrest. He is currently being held at Franklin County Jail and faces murder charges.
The viral rapper is known for his remix of the children’s song “Baby Shark.” He gained viral fame in 2022, earning over 1.7 million views on YouTube, and his track became popular on TikTok, with over 25,000 videos using the song.
His record label, Big Money Records, confirmed Ralan Styles passing in an Instagram post.
Hassan was scheduled to appear before a judge October 21st.
