Please note:

Two Licking County towns, Johnstown and Hebron, have rescheduled their Halloween celebrations due to expected rain and wind on Thursday evening. Johnstown announced via social media that its trick-or-treat event will now take place from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.  Hebron has also moved its Halloween Bash to Wednesday, October 30, from 7:15 to 9 p.m. at Canal Park. The event will still include food trucks, a bonfire, family-friendly DJ entertainment, and bounce houses.

Here are a few reminders for a safe Halloween season:

  • We are expecting high winds and possible storms Halloween night— please dress accordingly. Stay updated with weather in your area here.
  • Don’t send your young children off by themselves!
  • Use flame-resistant costumes in case there are candles lit near a home you’re approaching
  • Use sidewalks and stay out of the road as much as possible
  • Use reflective material as much as possible
  • Parents, if you’re tailing your kids from the car, drive carefully!
