Cassie Is Reportedly In Labor With Her 3rd Child
Days after her harrowing testimony at ex-boyfriend Sean “Diddy” Combs’ federal trial, Cassie is reportedly in labor with her third child with husband Alex Fine.
On Tuesday, May 27, Cassie was reportedly rushed to a New York hospital’s labor and delivery unit, according to TMZ, although the name of the hospital has yet to be released.
No additional details about her pregnancy were immediately released.
The couple announced they were expecting their third child in February. Shortly after announcing their baby’s upcoming arrival, Cassie revealed that baby number three would be the couple’s first son in a birthday tribute to Fine in March.
The new baby will join siblings Frankie, 5, and Sunny, 3.
In October 2019, just before the birth of her first child, Cassie shared in an interview with Babe by Hatch about the type of mother she wanted to be.
“I don’t want to lose myself in becoming a mom,” Cassie said at the time. “Of course, I will do anything for her, but I also want to remain true to myself. I want her to grow up watching me do my thing. I want her to see me making music, building my business, being a mom, a wife, a force, and be inspired by it all.”
“I want to lead by example so she can grow up knowing that she can do anything and be everything her heart desires,” she added.
Many have championed Cassie’s strength and resilience to sit through four days of highly emotional and intense testimony in Diddy’s trial, as she recounted numerous instances of physical abuse and the explicit details of their sexual encounters known as “Freak Offs.”
There were also previous concerns that she could possibly go into labor while testifying on the stand, which some thought could trigger a mistrial. Thankfully, that didn’t happen.
