People who put a laptop on their knees for long periods of time could get “toasted skin syndrome.”   A new report published in the journal “Pediatrics” cites the case of a 12-year-old boy who developed a discolored sponge like pattern on his left thigh.  Researchers say in very rare cases the syndrome can cause damage that leads to skin cancers.
