Barring any further setbacks, E-v-e’s LP will hit store shelves in late spring.

After several false starts, Eve is finally ready to make her return to music. The Philly raptress has announced an official release date for her first album in over a decade, Lip Lock. Eve’s fourth album will arrive on May 14 featuring appearances from Snoop Dogg, Pusha T, Juicy J, and Chrisette Michele, with production from Claude Kelly, Swizz Beatz, and more. “Lip Lockis the album I’ve always wanted to make and it represents me comingback into the game–lyrically locking it down. But I also like the title because it can be a play on words,” said Eve. (Rap-Up)

Earlier this month, Eve’s “She Bad Bad” music video premiered online.

Ruff Ryders’ First Lady’s much-much-much-delayed fourth studio album has gone through a few incarnations over the last decade, due to some drama with her label and a few underperformingsingles; initially it was titled Here I Am, then Flirt and now, finally, it’s been given the official (supposedly) name Lip Lock. The lead single, “She Bad Bad,” dropped back in October, but today marks the release of the video, which is slick with rapid-fire cuts. Admittedly, Eve looks good — although in some shots you could mistake her for Azealia Banks, which probably says something about how gracefully the entertainer is aging — and the video’s attention-deficit visual style compensates for what was likely a limited budget. It’s a good buzzy tease, but we’re guessing she’ll need something radio-friendlier to capture the public attention once more. (Idolator)

A few days before Christmas, the Philadelphia-bred emcee teased fans with her video’s sneak peek.

Eve is offering fans a clip of the music video for “She Bad Bad,” the lead single from Lip Lock, her first studio album in nearly a decade. The full video for “She Bad Bad” will be released on January 8 via Vevo. The teaser of the black and white vid features E-V-E dancing in front of a wall and fingering piles of cash. Lip Lock is set to be released in April 2013. The album will include contributions from Timbaland, the Neptunes, Adam Levine, Dr. Dre, MSTRKRFT, Shakira, Lady Gaga, Swizz Beatz, Scott Storch, Chiddy Bang, Flo Rida and Alicia Keys. (RTT News)

Late last year, Eve discussed her long-awaited follow-up to 2002′s Eve-Olution.

“It was important for me to do this record for people that love me in the beginning. I think I took lyrically what people fell in love with me with Ruff Ryders and brought it to where I am now musically. I think when people hear it, they’re gonna be like, ‘Yo, that’s my girl.’ That’s what I really wanted.” (“The Angie Martinez Show”)
