Apple is about to unveil its long-talked about iPad mini, if the rumors are true. The company is expected to show off the new device during a media event scheduled for today. The smaller, alternative to the larger iPad would compete directly with similar tablets such as the Kindle Fire and Google’s Nexus 7.
