“I’m going to keep that private,” Kardashian told MTV News of whether she will be filming the birth of her child. However, if you’re expecting to see baby Kimye joining in on playtime with her cousins while cameras are rolling, think again, because Kim admits that she is “going to keep that private too.” Now that Kim has decided to draw the curtain on some major moments coming up in her personal life, it also seems like she will be taking a stepback from the spotlight as well. “I’m hoping to take some time off,” Kim said. “And just focus on that and not really work as much for a little bit.” (MTV)
Earlier this week, she announced baby KimYe’s summer due date.
“I think until I really start seeing a belly it won’t really sink in. It’s just like a weird realization, but I think until you start seeing the physical changes, you know, and every day is different. … Once you’re past the three-month part, you know, you’re pretty safe. So [Kanye] just kind of goes off what he feels and he was feeling it that night, I guess — I’m due in July.” (“Today”)
Kardashian also briefly spoke on the likelihood of spending the rest of her life as Mrs. West.
“You know it’s something that we talk about, but I think right now it’s focusing on the baby,” Kim said when asked about marriage. “I was always such a planner and you think your life is going to be a certain way and the best surprises just happen when you don’t plan. I’m just so content with how things are right now. We definitely want that in the future but I’m not in a rush.” (“Today”)
Following a publicized on-stage concert announcement by Mr. West, Kim confirmed her pregnancy buzz a few weeks ago.
“It’s true!! Kanye and I are expecting a baby. We feel so blessed and lucky and wish that in addition to both of our families, his mom and my dad could be here to celebrate this special time with us. Looking forward to great new beginnings in 2013 and to starting a family. Happy New Year!!! Xo” (Kim Kardashian’s Blog)
