Ex-Husband Was Sure He Was Not The Father Of Baby Royalty

The then-husband of Chris Brown’s alleged baby mama was so sure he wasn’t baby Royalty’s dad that he ordered a paternity test, Bossip has learned.

Nia Guzman-Amey’s sudden pregnancy was cited in the divorce papers her then husband, Terry Amey, filed in January 2014. The deceived dad was convinced he was not the father.

“Respondent is also pregnant at the time of filing this lawsuit; however; Petitioner denies paternity and requests a DNA test as soon as possible,” Amey’s petition for divorce says.

The papers state that Amey and Guzman-Amey were still living together during the time Royalty was conceived.

The couple were later divorced in April 2014 on the grounds of “insupportability” – which, under Texas law, means that the spouses couldn’t agree on basics, and can include issues like long separations, bickering, a lack of trust and personality clashes.

A judge awarded primary physical custody of the former couple’s now 13-year-old daughter, Zillah Jade, to Amey, while Guzman-Amey had weekends and some holidays, according to divorce papers obtained by Bossip.

Guzman-Amey still goes by her married name, according to her profile on Model Mayhem, though the divorce judge barred her from using it.

Neither spouse had to pay child support to the other, but a judge ordered Amey to pay Guzman-Amey “maintenance” of $2,200 a month for six months.
