Martin Lawrence and Will Smith are going to be pretty busy for the next few years because they might be back on the beat!

It’s just been announced that Sony Pictures will be reviving hit movie series, Bad Boys! Entertainment Weekly revealed that Sony isn’t just rounding out a trilogy, but the studio is actually extending Bad Boys’ run.

As of now, Bad Boys 3 is set to blast its way into theaters on February 7, 2017. Sony is hoping to make Bad Boys 4 a summer blockbuster because that’s slated for a July 3, 2019 release.

Martin confirmed last year that a third installment of the Bad Boys series was in the works.

During a chat on TBS’ Conan, Martin stated, “I just talked to [producer] Jerry Bruckheimer yesterday and he said it’s real, they’re working on the script, they’re getting close, and it all looks good,” the 49-year-old actor revealed.”

We didn’t hear too much more about it after that, but that’s probably because the studio was also setting up Bad Boys 4.

Neither Martin nor Will have spoken up about the most recent Bad Boys news, but the films wouldn’t be the same without them. Maybe producers will add Jada Pinkett Smith to the projects so people can finally stop making up divorce rumors about her and Will.
