A mother-daughter duo has gone viral after piloting a Delta flight together!

Captain Wendy Rexon and her daughter, First Officer Kelly Rexon, were captured in a picture together preparing to fly a Delta Boeing 757. The pair made up the flight crew and traveled from Los Angeles, California to Atlanta, Georgia.

Dr. John R. Watret, the chancellor of Embry-Riddle Worldwide, a world-renowned aeronautical university, took the photograph of the two women. Watret just so happened to overhear that there was a mother-daughter flight crew and couldn’t pass on the opportunity.

He posted the picture via Twitter and it took off from there. The viral tweet meant a great deal to Watret because of Embry-Riddle’s commitment to creating more opportunities for women in all areas of the aviation industry.

“There has to be more diversification in the industry,” Watret said. “It’s crucial and one of the key factors we focus on. When there are more opportunities, everyone wins.” Watret said.

Delta acknowledged the viral photo with a simple reply, “Family flight crew goals!”

That’s some serious woman power!
