Chance the Rapper revealed the long-awaited information about his debut album Tuesday night with Jimmy Fallon on “The Tonight Show”.
The album titled, The Big Day, will drop July 26. The Big Day follows up on Chance’s 2016 Coloring Book release.
Since releasing Coloring Book, Chance teamed up with Jeremih in 2016 and 2017 for Merry Christmas Lil’ Mama and Merry Christmas Lil’ Mama: Re-Wrapped, respectively. Last year, he released a string of singles including “Work Out” and “The Man Who Has Everything.”
The classification of The Big Day as his first album has prompted some debate, as Coloring Book was released as an Apple Music exclusive in a multi-million dollar deal with the tech company. However, that project was marketed as the end of his mixtape “trilogy” that also includes 10 Day and Acid Rap.
