Terry Francona’s bid for the Baseball Hall Of Fame will have to wait a few more years.
According to reports, Tito is set to be the next manager of the Cincinnati Reds. Cincinatti fired manager David Bell a few weeks ago.
Francona, 65, retired after managing the Cleveland Indians/Guardians for 11 years. He’s expected to sign a three-year deal with his new club.
From FOX 8:
Francona has managed three teams over his 23-year career, MLB.com reported, including the Philadelphia Phillies from 1997 to 2000, the Boston Red Sox from 2004 to 2011 and the Guardians from 2013 to 2023.
He left Cleveland as the winningest manager in club history, with more than 900 wins and six postseason berths, including a World Series run in 2016.
