Stefon Diggs and Cardi B Celebrate Patriots Win

The New England Patriots are Super Bowl-bound after outlasting the Denver Broncos, 10-7, Sunday. But for those who follow football for all the extracurricular activities, that means that Pats wide receiver Stefon Diggs and his girlfriend Cardi B will be on one of the biggest stages in sports. 

Fans of the couple got a taste of what that could look like after the Pats won Sunday’s game. 

“Following the final whistle, the celebration moved from the turf to the sidelines and eventually behind the scenes, where Cardi B was seen enthusiastically supporting the veteran playmaker. The rapper was captured on video and in photos celebrating the win, adding a high-profile spark to the championship atmosphere. The pair shared a viral moment on the field, with the musician visibly emotional and excited as the Patriots clinched their berth in the title game. Her presence brought a level of entertainment royalty to the gridiron, as she was seen hyping up the crowd and embracing Diggs amidst the falling confetti,” BET.com reports

For Diggs, the journey to get to this point has been plagued by both on and off-field rumors. Many believe that the 32-year-old receiver is past his prime. His game against the Broncos didn’t help quell those after netting just a measly 17 yards on 5 receptions. Despite the lack of production in the AFC Championship, which was played in blizzard-like conditions, Diggs has had an overall impact on the Patriots’ success. And while his personal numbers may have been better during his time with the Minnesota Vikings, Buffalo Bills, and Houston Texans, he’s never made it to the big game. 

Off the field, Diggs’ personal life has been worked through with a fine-tooth comb. He recently welcomed a baby boy with singer Cardi B and was the subject of a paternity suit with another woman who claimed Diggs was her child’s father. The test reportedly found that he was the father of a daughter with IG model Aileen Lopera. He’s also embroiled in an assault case after allegedly strangling his chef.

But America loves Cardi B and Diggs as a couple, and her enthusiasm for the game, and her man, quickly went viral on social media.

Surely, the hip-hop diva will be in attendance when the Patriots take on the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl 60, and maybe she will witness her bf win his first Super Bowl ring.
