I found this on gather.com: Ohio Governor and others want LeBron James to stay in Cleveland, and they made a video to prove it. Lebron James of the Cleveland Cavaliers may leave his Cleveland, Ohio home for fertile ground.
Right now this would be devastating for Cleveland, Ohio, and the Caveliers, as the economy is suffering, and the Cavaliers with LeBron James is a bright spot. So everyone involved including the governor, Ted Strickland, the coaches and others made a video to parody “We are the World” called “We Love Lebron.”
In the video they make the point that no other team or town would love LeBron James as well as Cleveland. Will the video be enough to stir the heart strings of LeBron James?
Does Cleveland have what it takes against teams like the New York Knicks, the Nets, and even teams in Los Angeles are heavily favored to win the heart of LeBron James. If this were “Dancing with the Stars,” perhaps the video would win or “American Idol” but I saw the governor sing, and he can’t, so forget it.
My feeling is cash is king, and King James will be headed for the New York Knicks, but thanks Cleveland for the memories and the song.
