One of the most Impactful African American men of our time. Tupac Shakur was more than a rapper or actor. To me he was the perfect example of a lost soldier. Lacking the guidance that many young African American males are missing in their lives, Tupac channeled his energy into many things, some good, some creative, and some that were dangerous to his well being, ultimately taking his life in 1996.

I remember when I heard the news that Tupac had been killed. Women and men were literally running out in the streets screaming. It was the closest thing I’ve ever experienced to the death of Martin Luther King Jr. When you listened to Pac speak you could tell he had much more potential than to be just a rapper. Hip Hop was his soap box to stand on and speak to his people. As young as he was I believe he would have matured into one of the most dynamic leaders of our time. When people ask that usual question who was better Biggie or Pac. I always will speak out loud that 2Pac was much more than a rapper, he was our modern day Moses, he just didn’t know it.

Happy Birthday 2Pac. Check out some of our best 2Pac Moments No music, just his words. And speak up on this topic, leave a comment, spark some thoughtful conversation, it’s good for the soul.
