Maxwell is postponing dates on his summer tour. Billboard.com is reporting that the singer’s upcoming shows with Melanie Fiona scheduled to begin on June 28th in Greensboro, North Carolina have been moved to 2011. The change is reportedly due to scheduling conflicts with the venues. Internet rumors had suggested that the cancellation was due to a feud between Maxwell and Jill Scott and Erykah Badu. Scott’s publicist released a statement denying the speculation saying, quote, “Jill has enjoyed every moment on stage with Maxwell, whom she calls a consummate gentleman and tourmate. She looks forward to sharing the rest of the tour with all of the supportive followers.”
