Apple has announced to the public their schedule for their most eagerly anticipated event of the year – the WWDC (Worldwide Developers Conference). This annual event is always eagerly anticipated by Apple fans as Apple usually announces something big.  The event is set to take place next month between the dates of 11th – 15th June 2012. Apple has also released a new app for attendees to coincide with the event.

The venue that has been chosen is San Francisco’s Moscone West. According to Apple, the event will kick off with a keynote address. In fact these keynotes is usually when the CEO of the company (previously Steve Jobs) explains something regarding a new and exciting product that Apple has in store. The keynote is expected to take place at around 10:00 a.m. PT.

There has been no information from the company as to who will lead the event or what will be on the agenda. This is ‘classic’ Apple however, as they never let the world know what they have in store until the day of the event. Most believe current CEO Tim Cook will lead the event.

Rumors have been circulating as to what Apple has in store at the event and most (including myself) believe that Apple will unveil the new iPhone during the WWDC 2012 event. During the past few months, this rumored has been all over the internet but has not been confirmed or denied by Apple (as usual). Everybody who works for  the company has been very tight-lipped so far.

This is the same event where Apple revealed the iPhone 4 back in 2010 and the iPhone 3 in 2008.  In my opinion, Apple has become fairly predictable with their iPhone release schedule.

The forerunner for the new phone comes out in on the even years (iPhone 3g on 6/9/08, iPhone 4 on 6/7/10) and the addendum on the odd years(iPhone 3gs 6/8/09, iPhone 4g 10/7/11).

So Whether or not the phone is revealed at the WWDC or later in the fall, we can be assured a new iPhone will be available before turkey day.
