After the swimmer apologized for lying about getting robbed and held at gunpoint at a Rio gas station last week, it looks like the police lied a bit, too.
The Olympian just lost one of his biggest sponsors: Speedo pulled the plug on its relationship with the gold medalist.
“He lied to you, he lied to Matt Lauer, he lied to his mom,” Al Roker said during the heated Today Show segment. “He left his teammates hanging while he skedaddled. There was no robbery, there was no pull over. He lied.”

Users floated the hashtag #Lochtegate in response to the drama, and Black Twitter in particular didn't see it for Lochte.
First the Olympic swimmer said he was robbed at gunpoint by fake cops on Sunday in Rio. Slowly, his story has evolved, revealing there actually was no robbery. Instead, Lochte, Jimmy Feigen, and two other teammates were caught on camera vandalizing a gas station bathroom.
This all began Sunday, when Conger, Bentz, Lochte, and their other teammate, Jimmy Feigen, filed a police report which stated they'd been held at gunpoint. But Brazilian police were suspicious when the swimmers each gave different accounts of what happened.
Ryan Lochte's alleged Rio robbery story just took another bizarre turn.
