GM revealed their bid to sell the Hummer brand to a Chinese heavy equipment manufacturer fell thru due to resistance from Chinese regulators.
Thus General Motors announced they will have to close production of the popular SUV unless a last minute investor purchases the brand.
Erich Merkle from autoeconomy.com says “The products aren’t really in line with what people are looking for in the marketplace, and certainly not in line with what the new government (fuel-economy) regulations will be”
