George Zimmerman, the man accused of shooting and killing Trayvon Martin, apologized to the family as the judge set his $150,000 bond. “I wanted to say that I am sorry for the loss of your son,” Zimmerman said in court before the judge set the bond on Friday April 20th. The bond will allow him to get out of jail while he awaits trial for second-degree murder in the death of Trayvon Martin on February 26 2012. Zimmerman’s family testified on his behalf saying his image is incorrect and the other incidents cited by prosecutors were misunderstandings. While Zimmerman awaits trial, the Florida authorities have assigned 17 people to review Florida’s “Stand Your Ground” law.
