WATER COOLER TALK: According to a new study by psychologist David Frederick of Chapman University in California, two out of three men think women should help pay for a date! But 76% of men felt bad about taking money from their dates. Out of the 64% men wanting to split the bill, 44% said they’d even ditch a love interest who never doled out any dollars. 57% of the surveyed women said that they offered to help pay for the dates but 39% of them admitted that they hoped the man would turn them down. Over time, the participants showed that the bill is often shared between the two in the first six months of dating.
This study was done to see where people are with their gender roles today.
