After serving 2 years of a 4 year prison sentence, Dr. Conrad Murray was released from the Los Angeles County jail reportedly at 12:01 am Monday morning under sheriff’s escort, avoiding reporters and Michael Jackson fans waiting for his release.
A group of Michael’s fans who had gathered outside of the prison anticipating Murrays release accused the Los Angeles County sheriff of favoritism to Murray by slipping him out of the jail through a back exit, instead of the door where freed prisoners normally leave.
LA Country spokesman Steve Whitmore said Murray was driven away in a sheriff’s car for the “safety and security”.
