Iggy Azalea and Nick Young Buy Selena Gomez’s Estate
Young celebrity couple Iggy Azalea and Nick Young recently bought the house in the Valley that Selena Gomez owned and remodeled. They paid Gomez $3.45 million, just under her $3.495 million asking price.
The property is nearly an acre in the Valley — the Tarzana section of Los Angeles, to be exact, only about four miles from the high school where Young played basketball 10 years ago. He’s now 29 and an L.A. Laker.
Does this mean a wedding is in the cards for rapper Azalea, 24, and her athlete love? “It’s come up a couple times,” he admitted to DuJour.com.
“Me and Iggy just bought a house. We’ve been getting really close lately. I’ve never been with somebody like this. So, I’m taking it as a challenge.”
His own parents have been married nearly 40 years, he said, and “growing up, I always wanted to be married and have a family.”
Their love story started about a year ago, after he announced on Twitter that he had a crush on her, DuJour.com reported:
“He remembers being caught off guard when he met the fast-rapping, smack-talking Azalea in person. ‘From her songs, I thought she’d be all about going to clubs and partying, but it’s the opposite of that,’ he says. ‘She wakes up early every morning to take care of her dogs, and she cooks for me. From her rapping, I was very surprised that she could do all that. She’s a really cool, down-to-earth person.'”
The house they just bought was radically remodeled by Gomez, who expanded the house by about 2,000 square feet, during the couple of years she owned it.
The house last sold for $2,175,000 in 2011. She listed it this past May.
Marketed as a “Valley compound,” the home is surrounded by security gates. A guest suite upstairs has a separate entrance of its own, a kitchen and two bathrooms.
In all, the property has 6 bedrooms and 8 bathrooms in its 6,630 square feet.
Mike Brown’s Mother Faces Robbery Charges
As the grand jury debates on whether to bring criminal charges against Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson, who shot 18-year-old Mike Brown back in August, Brown’s mother Lesley McSpadden may be facing some criminal charges of her own.
On Oct. 18th, McSpadden brought a mob of people to attack a group of vendors selling “Justice for Mike Brown” t-shirts. A group of 20-30 people allegedly jumped out of vehicles and rushed towards the group and stole their merchandise and attacked them. One person was hospitalized and another was beaten with a pipe, NY Daily News reports.
Among those vendors was her son’s paternal grandmother, Pearlie Gordon, who was knocked to the ground and struck in the head, according to the police report.
The attackers reportedly stole merchandise worth $1,500 and $400 in cash. McSpadden and the other attackers could be charged with felony armed robbery.
McSpadden and Mike Brown Sr. are currently preparing for their trip to Switzerland to speak at a human rights conference at the United Nations.

Poor Khloe Kardashian … and Poor Lamar, Too
Khloe Kardashian shared the above message on her Instagram — and while it could be about a number of things, it doesn’t seem like a coincidence that she posted it on the birthday of her estranged husband, Lamar Odom.
It’s a shameful, sad thing what addiction can do to a person — it can ruin a marriage, change a personality entirely, and ruin lives. There seems to be a pretty good chance that if Lamar hadn’t traveled down the road of substance abuse, that his union with Khloe probably would have worked out. … And that’s saying a lot for the Kardashians, who switch boyfriends and girlfriends and husbands as much as they change their clothes.
Yeah, Khloe and Lamar seemed to have a real chance, but drugs ruined everything. Stay clean, friends.
