Thousands of student every year take the jump into Mirror Lake on The Ohio State University Campus, but for what?? Its ritual, every Tuesday before the Ohio State-Michigan football game OSU students take the big jump.
This year according to The Columbus Dispatch “10,000 people gathered around the lake for the increasingly popular student ritual…Emergency radio communications indicated that several people were treated for alcohol intoxication, and police said one person was reported to have been treated for an ankle injury. One arrest was reported by 1 a.m…This was the second year the university tried to control the event by placing a fence around the pond and issuing wristbands for entry.
