Several schools in the Columbus area are on lockdown Wednesday after the report of police activity in the area.
Linden-McKinley High School, Northland High School, Whetstone High School and Mifflin High School are on lockdown.
Officials say the lockdown was initiated due to the homicide of 16-year-old Zyshonne Dupri Jenkins.
Jenkins was shot Tuesday night at East Livingston and Dellwood Avenues.
Detectives say Jenkins and another man were standing in the middle of the street shooting at each other.
Jenkins died Wednesday morning at Grant Medical Center.
