Assistant General Manager – Restaurant
About the Job
The Assistant General Manager will be responsible for ensuring restaurant consistently deliver a positive “Skyline Time” guest experience by treating all employees with courtesy, respect and dignity, ensuring open communication acknowledging good performance and the tools and training they need, being fair and consistent in discipline, leading by example and holding stores to Skyline quality, service and cleanliness standards
Responsibilities:
· Establishing goals to Meet or exceed Net sales and Bottom Line profit goals through sales growth, and EBITDA goals.
· Ensures all controllable costs meet ideal targets. Ensures QSC standards are maintained.
· Leads Skyline’s Mission Statement “To earn our customers’ loyalty every day by protecting and enhancing the quality image of Skyline Chili.
· Ensures Skyline employees are aligned with our Social Values and knowledgeable of the Strategic goals.
· Ensures operations are conducted in accordance with established Skyline policies, givens & guidelines, and with legal and regulatory requirements.
· Ensures food is prepared in accordance with Skyline standard operating procedures and portions are properly controlled.
· Ensures restaurant safety & security. Opening and closing of the building is in accordance with set security procedures. Cash is handled in accordance with policies.
· Serve as a resource to unit level management, communicate and hold each unit accountable for Company policies, procedures and results.
· Communication with corporate staff, subordinate team members and direct supervisor as needed to maintain an even flow of information between staff and operations.
· Develop and promote sales-building techniques
· Hold all restaurants accountable for system processes and procedures.
Qualifications:
· High school graduate or equivalent. Additional college coursework preferred.
· Familiarity with restaurant functions, policies, and procedures
· Strong interpersonal, leadership, and supervisory skills.
· Well organized and team building capability
· Ability to operate related computer applications and related business equipment.
· Ability to maintain an effective and efficient workflow.
· Proven ability to drive customer satisfaction, financial performance and employee satisfaction
