For the most part, people who work at the Apple store always seem to love their jobs. They’re always happy, like the people who work for Chick-Fil-A. Well anyway, Ruben Profit might be one of their very few disgruntled employees. He started working at the Apple store in December 2013, and seemingly spent a great portion of his check on Apple products, namely gift cards. In fact, Ruben bought $997,000 worth of Apple gift cards over the course of his employment there. So you’re thinking, ‘he doesn’t seem disgruntled to me?’ So let me tell you how he bought these gift cards. Ruben had 51 Visa and American Express gift cards, that had been fraudulently re-encoded with credit card information, and that’s what he used to buy all these gift cards. So basically, he stole credit card information, the used it to buy a million dollars worth of Apple gift cards! But why?? Well, Ruben said he was paid $200 for every $2,000 gift card he bought for someone. First of all, you’re taking all the risk, and only getting a 10% profit?? Secondly, why would you steal from the store where you work?? He doesn’t even sound smart enough to work for Apple.
