Big Bink #SoGoneChallenge

Source: Radio One / Radio One#bigbinkshow is committed to inspiring and helping Young men in Columbus Ohio.  I will be speaking to a group of young Columbus Ohio Residents who need advice or maybe even a role model to bounce ideas off as they continue to develop into leaders and mentors while battling these challenging times in this country.  This event is free to the public and the ages are from 6th to 12th grade.

Leadership in Columbus At Its Best will host a Leadership Conference for 100 African-American students. The Conference is entitled BOLD

Black-male Orientation to Leadership Development.

The conference will be held on Saturday March 18, 2017 beginning at 8:00 a.m. at the Columbus Police Training Academy Facility located at 1000 N. Hague Ave, Columbus, Ohio 43204

The BOLD Conference is designed to develop an awareness of the importance of education, positive

African-American leadership, understanding the importance of community and having a strong positive male self-image. BOLD aims to change that mindset by focusing on helping then Set HIGH EXPECTATIONS and Making RIGHT CHOICES.

The current atmosphere in this country is not providing adequate support for persons in need of social services. African-American males continue to be the victims rather than victors. Black and brown males continue to be subjected to policies, inadequate teaching strategies, and human attitudes that result in growing social alienation, frustration and failure. Ultimately, the “victim” status causes higher unemployment, unstable lives and the many related problems which lead to self-destruction and failure among African American males.
