During a recent press conference with Cam Newton he said it was funny to hear a “female” reporter about taking routes. Since then Newton has received a lot of backlash on social media, but now Dannon Oikos yogurt has cut ties with him.

According to Baller Alert many weren’t happy with his response mentioned it was sexist, but some others thought it was justified. USA Today said, “We are shocked and disheartened at the behavior and comments of Cam Newton toward Jourdan Rodrigue, which we perceive as sexist and disparaging to all women.”

 

The Panthers quarterback works with other advertisers, but so far this is the only one that has decided to stop working with him. USA Today also said, “It is entirely inconsistent with our commitment to fostering equality and inclusion in every workplace. It’s simply not OK to belittle anyone based on gender. We have shared our concerns with Cam and will no longer work with him.” We will keep you posted on if anything else happens.
