The actress says it was her husband that changed her mind and to give Jordyn a safe place to talk.

One of the most watched interviews from Jada Pinkett-Smith‘s Red Table Talk shows has been with Jordyn Woods. The former best friend of Kylie Jenner went on the Facebook platform to share her truth on what went down between her and Khloe Kardashian‘s boyfriend at the time Tristan Thompson.

However, Jada is sharing that the sit-down interview almost didn’t happen. The Hollywood actress says that she felt “apprehensive” to have Woods come on the show.

Jordyn really felt like it was the only safe place that she could do that interview. It actually wasn’t something I wanted to do because it was very close [to home], but as time transpired, Jordyn was just like, ‘I really need you in this platform’ and Will [Smith] felt like it was supremely important. So I was like, okay let’s do it.”

She goes on to say:

I just wanted her to have a platform to tell her story. That’s it. She’s a young beautiful woman inside and out and me having been a young girl, we sometimes get in situations that we don’t necessarily know how to handle… You just [try to] help young girls navigate through life, through difficult situations we’ve all come across.”

The interview has surfaced back up in headlines since the controversial episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians aired on Sunday showing the Kardashian/Jenner reaction to the news of Woods and Thompson hooking up.
