The previously unidentified robbery suspect shot by an officer Saturday night has been identified by Columbus Police as 20-year-old Dequion M. Anderson.
According to Columbus Police Anderson pulled a gun on a man and stole his bicycle on Siebert Street. The vicitim then notified officers who were working with the Community Response Team.
When officers located Anderson in an alley he pointed a gun at the officers, when an unidentified officer fired at him.
The incident will be investigated by the Critical Incident Response Team.
