According to worldwide sales figures from Nokia’s Ovi Music Store, the King of Pop has become the most downloaded artist in history. And the numbers reflect how Michael’s music is loved all around the world. 26% of the downloads come from India, followed by the UK, Germany, the Netherlands and Finland. “Beat It” is the most heavily-downloaded Michael Jackson jam, followed by “Billie Jean” and “Thriller.” Music historian Geoff Roberts stated, “Michael Jackson has always been a pop music legend. But the anniversary of his death and birthday celebrations seem to have revived Jackson fever as fans rediscover his songs – making him the most popular solo artist of all time.”
