Kanye Considered Killing Himself!
Kanye West says that he got so depressed at one point that he thought seriously about killing himself. ‘Ye didn’t give details about when and why he felt that way, but earlier this week, at an L.A. screening of his film, Runaway, Kanye said: “There were times that I contemplated suicide. (But) I will not give up on life again.”
Kanye refers to suicide in the song “Power” where he raps: “Now this would be a beautiful death – I’m jumping out the window, I’m letting everything go.”
Kanye told the screening audience that he’s been through a lot of emotional upheaval in the last few years starting with the death of his mother in 2007 and the loss of three other parental figures.
Describing himself as a “soldier of culture” and a “pop icon,” Kanye explained that he chose to live and continue expressing himself creatively because a lot of other people can’t. Kanye said: “There’s so many people that will never get the chance to have their voice heard. I do it for them.”
