There is so much music that comes out per year that it’s almost impossible to keep track. While we’ve been chiming in on some releases that most folks at least heard about I think there are some CDs that tragically went unnoticed in 2010.
How many of you remember Jem, the 80s cartoon about record company owner Jerrica Benton and her rocking alter ego? Well, Yahzarah sure does. In, “Why Doncha Call Me No More?” the first video from her Ballad of Purple St. James, she dawns the pink hair and spandex of the Reagan-Era hit series.
From her days singing back-up for Erykah Badu to her current work with Phonte & Nicolay’s The Foreign Exchange project, Yahzarah’s been waiting for her turn to stand out front.
