San Bernardino County School districts are discontinuing a policy that forced elementary school students to kneel down before being dismissed to their classes.  The principal Dana Carter of Calimesa Elementary School started the policy and it called for students at various times of the school day to kneel down on one knee with their hands down to their sides and wait for the principal or another administrator to dismiss them.  The school claims that this was all as a safety measure.

A lot of parents were upset about this policy and are relieved that their kids don’t have to follow anymore.   If your child attended a school with this policy would it be ok for them to kneel down to teachers & principals?
