Today, LeBron James revealed on his Instagram account that he will be releasing his first musical project next month!

In his post, LeBron boasts his pride behind the new project. He has collaborated with Atlanta-based rapper, 2Chainz, to complete the album. Music and sports fans alike can look forward to tuning into “Rap or Go To The League”, releasing March 1st!

“Can’t wait for y’all to hear the continued evolution of his profound skills from his mind to the booth to the records itself. Proud of you homie and the people will be as well when this hits,” LeBron wrote.

We shall see if the “G.O.A.T” is skilled more than just on the court!

Speaking of the Greatest of All Time, in an article for Newsweek, NBA legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, explained why he believes the title isn’t enough to address King James. He wrote, “This generation’s most prominent basketball hero is LeBron James, and he clearly represents a bold new language.”

Adbul-Jabbar said that he feels the constant debate about who really owns the title of the “GOAT” is pointless. We should simply appreciate all of our “ageless heroes” and the “GOAT” is really a mythological beast.

He believes James is bigger than basketball and larger than any stigma; he is, in fact, a cultural hero.

He writes, “…success as an athlete isn’t enough. To laud anyone as a cultural hero, that person would also have to embody as well as promote some of the core values of that culture. LeBron has done that through his outspoken political and social advocacy, especially in support of racial equality. But beyond just talking, he has taken positive actions to better the community and country.”
